Taft and Van Doren Halls are quiet, laid-back communities that are home to exclusively sophomores and above. With many single rooms to choose from, Taft and Van Doren are great fits for students looking for a little more privacy. Students who live in Taft and Van Doren Halls have the option to select a 6 Classic Meal or 6 Classic Meal + 25 Dining Dollars meal plan. The Student Dining and Residential Programs Building (SDRP), which features dining, a residential library and social programming, is just a short walk away. The Siebel Center for Design and School of Art + Design are across the street, and the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) and Memorial Stadium are nearby as well.

During the academic year when students are present, the front desk will be open from 6 a.m. – 3 a.m. When the front desk is not staffed, students can still call the front desk number. The call will be answered by a calling service able to help with general questions and emergencies and assist students who may have lost their i-card and be locked out of their building and room.
