Residence Hall Libraries
Our residence libraries are a place where you can come and study, get research tips, join a book club, or pick up the latest movie or video game. Meant for relaxation and enjoyment, our library locations in the Illinois Street Residence halls and Ikenberry Commons are there to help you unwind.
The Residence Hall Libraries program will be ending in the summer of 2024. The libraries will remain open for this academic year and close on July 1, 2024.

Illinois Library Policy on Overdue Items & Materials
Once an item reaches 35 days overdue (most items) or 10 days overdue (loanable technology), the Library considers the item to have been lost by the borrower, and the borrower's account is charged for the replacement of the item: $125 (for books) or $300 (for serials). Some items may be charged at a higher amount. This charge is usually canceled if the item is returned.
All borrowers, including faculty and staff, are charged for overdue reserve material. Overdue fines for 2-hour reserve loans are $5/hour. Overdue fines for 24-hour reserve loans are $5/day.
