The Housing Sign-Up Process
Phase 1: Interest
October 20 - 26
Current residents can log into the Contract Portal and indicate their interest in returning to University Housing for the fall 2026 – 2027 school year. Residents must indicate their interest to return to University Housing no later than 11:59 p.m. on October 26. Residents who decide they want to return after October 26 will be placed on a waitlist.
Due to increased demand to live in our residence halls, the Housing Sign-Up process will include a lottery drawing to determine who receives Self-Assignment time slots. Current residents who do not receive a time slot will be placed on a waitlist.
Phase 2: Roommates
October 27 – November 2
Returning residents will have one week to log back into the Contract Portal and update their profile, search for a roommate and confirm a roommate, if they wish to do so. Both roommates must have indicated their interest by the deadline in phase 1 and agree to live in University Housing no later than 11:59 p.m. on November 2. A roommate is not required to participate in the Housing Sign-Up lottery.
November 3
Residents requesting an accommodation will need to submit their Letter of Accommodation from Disability Resources & Educational Services through the Contract Portal by November 3.
November 5
Returning residents who have been randomly assigned a date and time for Housing Sign-Up Self-Assignment will receive information about the process.
Phase 3: Self-Assignment
November 10 – 16
Self-Assignment will begin in the Contract Portal on November 10 at noon. Returning residents will have fourteen days from the time they submit their contract to cancel their Housing Contract without incurring a contract cancellation fee.
November 24 – 30
Contract cancellation deadlines begin, depending on contract sign date.
