Housing Sign-Up Phases

Current Residents

Same Room Phase | October 4 at 1 p.m. through October 10 at 11:59 p.m.
If you live in an undergraduate residence hall or Daniels or Sherman Hall, you may log on and select your same room only. During this time, no other room selections can be made. If you do not select your same room during this time, it will become available to other residents.

Special Priority Phase | October 11 at 1 p.m. through October 17 at 11:59 p.m.
This phase of Housing Sign-Up is available to hall residents whose current room is not available next year. Residents are notified by email and given special priority to choose any available space in any available hall. If you do not select a space by October 17, you can return to the Housing Sign-up site during later phases.

This phase is also reserved for residents in Daniels and Sherman to select a room in either Daniels or Sherman Hall. Note: Current undergraduate hall residents will be able to select a space in Daniels or Sherman Hall beginning October 18.

Any Room/Any Hall Phase | October 18 at 1 p.m. through April 15 at 11:59 p.m.
Current residents may log on and select any available room in another hall. Students may also log on to change their meal plan, change rooms and add or change roommate preferences.

Off-Campus Residents

Any Room/Any Hall Phase | October 25 at 1 p.m. through April 15 at 11:59 p.m.
Any current continuing Illinois student not living in a residence hall will be able to select a space in any undergraduate residence hall or Daniels or Sherman Halls. Students may also log on to change their meal plan, change rooms, add or change roommate preferences or cancel their University Housing contract for next year.
