Unit One/Allen Hall Guest-in-Residence: 2/15-2/19

Steve Lambert is an artist working at the intersection of art, popular culture, comedy, hacktivism and cultural agitation. He has collaborated with the Yes Men, the Graffiti Research Lab and Greenpeace. He is the founder of the Center for Artistic Activism, the Anti-Advertising Agency, Add-Art (a Firefox add-on that replaces online advertising with art) and SelfControl (a tool that grownups may use to block themselves from distracting websites so they can get work done). Lambert’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in everything from museums to protest marches and is featured in over fourteen books and four documentary films. Lambert has discussed his work live on NPR, the BBC, and CNN, and has been reported on internationally in outlets including the New York Times, the Guardian, Harper’s Magazine, The Believer, ARTnews, Punk Planet, and Newsweek.
