"Fully vaccinated" is defined as 14 days after the final dose of the primary series.
Do I have to quarantine if I am identified as a close contact?
In accordance with CDC guidance, University Housing is not conducting contact tracing nor providing designated quarantine space for residents who may have been exposed to Covid-19. Roommates who have concerns are encouraged to get tested and wear a mask in their room.
What happens if I am required to isolate at some point during the year?
Isolation is used when someone has tested positive for COVID-19. It is used to keep someone known to be contagious with COVID-19 away from others.
Isolation as directed by CUPHD, University Housing, Private Certified Housing and Certified Greek Housing is mandatory. If you choose not to follow this guidance, you could be subject to student discipline, including immediate suspension for non-compliance.
The campus has limited resources for isolation space. Any individual who can safely travel to their permanent address to isolate will be asked to do so. ‘Safely travel’ means transportation in a private vehicle; public transportation should not be taken.
Campus isolation assignments may be in single-occupancy or double-occupancy spaces. Where we have double rooms, individuals should expect to have another individual in isolation with them. For privacy reasons we do not disclose the exact location of isolation rooms within our inventory. Please be assured the CUPHD and McKinley Health Center have approved the location of those spaces and confirmed there is appropriate separation from non-isolation spaces.
