Show us your plate for a chance to win a FitBit!

The theme for the month is “Nutrition from the Ground Up” and we want you to show us your plate full of plants! Throughout the month of March, take a picture of any meal you enjoy in the dining halls that include a fruit or vegetable serving. Dine, snap, and share on Instagram. Tag University Housing (@housingatillinois) and use the hashtag #ShowUsYourPlate to be entered into a drawing for a FitBit. We’ll announce a winner at the end of the month!

Sampled: A Pop-Up Testaurant 

Taste test new recipes and dishes that feature plants in some way. Sampled is our pop-up restaurant that visits dining halls around University Housing. Watch the chefs in action, try new versions of favorite foods, and enjoy the inspired flavors created by Dining Services's team of culinary-trained chefs.

Meet the Dietitian

Our new Dining Services dietitian Melissa Schumacher is getting out and about! She'll be visiting students at various dining locations to give you the inside scoop on features you may not know about like Text-and-Tell, Ask the Dietitian, and the Dining mobile app. She'll also answer all your questions about eating in the halls and get your feedback. Keep an eye out for her at the hall you regularly visit — she may have some special snacks to hand out!
