Furniture

Snyder Hall has new, loftable furniture. The furniture is steel construction with solid-wood drawer fronts and tops. A double room has two beds, two desks, two chairs, two closets, two chests of drawers, and two bookcases (mounted to the wall). Closets are typically 3 x 3'.

Desk

30" w x 23-1/4" d x 30" h (no light)
Attached top shelf is 28" w x 10-1/4" d; can be adjusted but is normally set at 15" above desk top
Attached bottom shelf is 25-1/2" w x 10-1/2" d; sits 10" below bottom of desk (cannot be adjusted)
Desk drawer inside is 22-1/2" w x 18" d x 2-3/4" h; front is curved to support keyboard use

Three-drawer chest

28" w x 23-1/2" d x 30" h
Top drawer inside is 22-1/2" w x 17-1/4" d x 5-3/4" h; front is 6-1/4" and can be padlocked
Middle and bottom drawer inside (each) is 22-1/2" w x 17-1/4" d x 5-3/4" h; fronts are 9-1/2" h

Pedestal cabinet

19-1/4" w x 23-1/4" d x 30" h (planned for placement next to desk to provide more work area)
Top and middle drawer inside (each) is 14-1/2" w x 17-1/4" d x 5-3/4"  h; front is 7-1/4" h
Bottom drawer inside is 14-3/4" w x 17-1/4" d x 9-1/2" h; front is 11" h (allows for hanging file folders)

Bookshelf

28-3/4" w x 11" d x 27-3/4" h (for safe stacking, chest has divots on top to place feet of other bookshelf unit)
Middle shelf is 27" w x 8-3/4" d x 10-3/4" h
Bottom shelf is 27" w x 10-1/4" d x 12-1/4" h

Hanging bed shelf

29" w overall; 21-3/4" between brackets x 10" d

Bed

Bed is typically set as mid loft 38" from top of mattress to floor, but can be adjusted in 2" increments up to 78" h (with use of loft kit) See instructions: How to Loft | How to Change the Bed Height (pdf)
Mattresses are twin, extra-long, 6" thick with dual firmness levels (firm or extra firm, depending on which side is up)
